Austin, TX – 5/7/2025 – Philanthropist and real estate visionary Alan Stalcup, known for revitalizing communities through his work at GVA Real Estate Group, deepens his global impact by supporting Rescue One More, a nonprofit organization on the front lines of the fight against child sexual violence in Africa.
Founded by Scott, Sarah, and Vanessa Lambie Rescue One More is transforming communities in Uganda by creating lasting solutions to prevent, respond to, and heal the trauma of child sexual abuse. Their holistic model empowers local police, healthcare workers, prosecutors, and social workers to act quickly and compassionately when abuse is reported—ensuring both justice and long-term healing for survivors.
“I believe we are called to use our influence and resources where the need is greatest,” says Stalcup. “Rescue One More doesn’t just raise awareness—they take action, and it’s working.”
In a powerful moment last year, Lambie hosted an appreciation dinner in Uganda where local leaders—mayors, prosecutors, and police—shared how Rescue One More’s presence has changed the landscape in their districts.
ThroughCommunity Action Teams (CATs), Rescue One More coordinates response efforts to provide safe housing, trauma-informed counseling, and legal support. TheirChrist-centered approach includes mentorship and spiritual healing, creating a network of support that stays with each child throughout their recovery journey.
Stalcup’s support reflects a growing movement of private-sector leaders taking meaningful action. As a corporate partner, GVA Real Estate Group provides vital, ongoing funding that allows the organization to forecast growth and expand into new districts.
“Partnerships like ours help bring stability to this mission,” says Stalcup. “It’s not just about giving—it’s about giving consistently, so Rescue One More can boldly plan and grow.”
Over the next five years, Rescue One More aims to expand into 10 new districts and establish a central operations hub in Uganda’s capital. With over 1 in 3 girls and 1 in 6 boys in Uganda experiencing sexual violence before the age of 18, the organization’s impact is both urgent and measurable.
“Ending child sexual violence in Africa will require empowered communities, strong laws, and committed partners,” says Lambie. “Alan and GVA are helping us build that future.”
